- Build on the CPD offered through our primary network meetings (2023-24).
- Provide primary MFL subject leads with relevant, up-to-date subject specific CPD and support the outcomes of learners across the county.
- Provide bespoke and targeted support for those new to leading MFL.
- Consider use of ready-made primary language teaching packages.
- Allow teachers time to share ideas and current practice.

Secondary MFL Line Manager Webinar 24-25

This webinar will take place towards early in September and is aimed at SLT members with a limited background in MFL teaching who will be line managing Heads of MFL during 2024-5. The main objective of this session is to ensure that line managers are aware of the key ingredients required to lead a successful languages department. This will enable them to support and challenge subject leaders in the delivery of a successful MFL curriculum in their context.
Additionally, HIAS MFL advisers will be able to establish contact and make senior leaders aware of the support on offer to schools including MFL network meetings, school visits and ECT provision. The planning and teaching resources on the Moodle will also be highlighted in these sessions.
